Everyday (for the most part), my good friend Kayla (check out her blog HERE) sends me a text with a Bible verse. I don’t know how she does it, but some days she manages to send me the perfect verse! Today was one of those days.
This summer, I have really challenged myself to grow in my faith and my job at a Bible camp seemed to be like a great idea to help me. But here at camp I have been confused…wondering if this is where belong or what God has planned for me. But then Kayla made everything better when she sent me this verse, 1 Peter 1: 8-9:
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
How cool is that!?! That explains why I love singing songs at camp and going to chapel and playing with the children…because I love God. And even though I cannot see Him I am still full of a very inexpressible joy!
Even though this verse carries the simple message that all Christians basically know–it is SO awesome to be reassured, especially in times of confusion or need.
Short and sweet. The end 🙂
